Theater of the Sea, established in 1946 in Islamorada, is one of the world's oldest marine mammal facilities and a premier Florida Keys attraction. It is unique for its natural saltwater lagoons created from a former quarry, where visitors can interact closely with animals, including swimming with dolphins, sea lions, and sharks, plus viewing shows and a private beach.
